TheF1Store.com, established 1999

The earliest beginning of TheF1Store.com was not different from how many of you started out collecting Racing Memorabilia.

Being a car nut from a very early age, my interest soon shifted towards racing as the faster it goes and the "better" the competition, the more fun it is, at least for me.

Over the years I built up an important collection of racing memorabilia, autographed items, automobilia and motorcycle related items and started swapping and buying over the internet.

As I got more time available, I decided to turn it into a business which resulted in the creation of TheF1Store.com in 1999.

All items on this website are for sale, there are no items "Just for display" to tease you.

I have much, much more available and will be adding items on a regular basis but adding them is quite time consuming so there won't be hundreds of new arrivals a week but you can join our mailing list to stay abreast with the new arrivals or, alternatively, you can check our website's "New Arrivals" section on a regular basis.

All original items are thoroughly researched and we guarantee the authenticity of them for an indefinite period of time. Images of all items sold are maintained in our digital archives for future reference.

The website also features current and obsolete racing merchandise as well as current reproduction items.

We ALWAYS indicate if an item is reproduction or original in the item description to avoid confusion.

Original 1995 Monaco Grand Prix Race Poster Hors Commerce

Original 1995 Monaco Grand Prix Race Poster Hors Commerce

Newly arrived Original 1995 Monaco Grand Prix Race Poster Hors Commerce

Here we have an original 1995 Monaco GP Race Poster "Hors Commerce".

This is one of the original posters that was actually hanging in the Principality of Monaco to advertise the 1995 Monaco Grand Prix which was held on May 25 - May 28 of that year.

Each year, the ACM (Automobile Club de Monaco, organizing body of the Monaco Grand Prix) issues a limited number of posters and distributes these amongst the hotels, cafés, restaurants and shops of Monte-Carlo with the intention that the shopkeepers etc actually display the posters to advertise the event.

To prevent these posters from being sold before the event, and thus rendering them useless as a publicity tool, these are marked on the back with the text "EXEMPLAIRE NON DESTINÉ A LA VENTE" which translates into as much as "Not for resale".

Logically, these posters are much more rare than the "normal" event posters which could be bought by the public before and during the race.

This particular one is one of the rare limited edition posters and carries the above-mentioned text on the back and has seen some proper use, which is visible in the photos, light fraying to the edges and knocks to the corners.

So, it is most definitely NOT in mint condition but the photographs are of the actual poster up for sale so please be your own judge on its condition.

As usual in those years, production of the poster was in the (capable) hand of the AIP advertising agency from Monte Carlo.

The image of the poster shows an artist's Impression of Michael Schumacher in his 1994 Benetton B194 # 5 thundering his way to victory in the 1994 race. The drawing was from the hand of Luc de Clerfayt.

The copyright was retained by the (no longer existing) FOPA, predecessor of the FOM (Formula One Management).

It measures approximately 24 x 16 inches or 60 x 40 cm.

The 1995 Monaco Grand Prix was again won by Michael Schumacher on Benetton, followed by Damon Hill on Williams and Gerhard Berger on Ferrari completing the podium.

Only 1 available.

This poster will be shipped rolled, in a sturdy tube.

We offer FREE shipping to ANY destination in the world also on this item but, given its value, we advise you to take the optional insurance on it.

Original 1983 Monaco Grand Prix Poster Hors Commerce Numbered

Newly arrived: Original 1983 Monaco Grand Prix Poster Hors Commerce Numbered

Original 1983 Monaco Grand Prix Poster "Hors Commerce", Numbered.

Here we have a poster that is one of the original posters that was actually hanging in the Principality of Monaco to advertise the 1983 Monaco Grand Prix.

The poster shows an artist's impression, by Lecomte, of Didier Pironi and Ricardo Patrese battling it out during the, rather dramatic, 1982 edition. The production of the poster was in the hands of the AIP advertising agency from Monte-Carlo.

Each year, the ACM (Automobile Club de Monaco, organizing body of the Monaco Grand Prix) issues a limited number of posters and distributes these amongst the hotels, cafés, restaurants and shops of Monte-Carlo with the intention that the shopkeepers etc actually display the posters to actually advertise the event.

To prevent these posters from being sold before the event, and thus rendering them useless as a publicity tool, these are usually marked with a text and in this case even a serial number!

The 1983 edition carries a text to the right side of the bottom border, where it is marked "EXEMPLAIRE HORS COMMERCE No 01858" which translates into as much as "Non-Commercial Edition Number 01858".

On top of that, this edition is also marked, in red, on the back with the text "EXEMPLAIRE NON DESTINE A LA VENTE".

Naturally, these posters are much more rare than the "normal" event posters which could be bought by the public before and during the race.

This particular one is one of those rare limited edition posters and has seen some use, which is visible in the photo. Given the fact that it was displayed in 1983, it can still be considered to be in excellent condition with no pinholes or significant folds but with the odd knick and some very minor foxing.

The photographs are of the actual poster up for sale here so please judge for yourself.

It measures some 60 x 64 cm or 16 x 25 inches.

The 1983 race was won by Keke Rosberg (Williams), a feat that was repeated by his son Nico Rosberg exactly 30 years later, ahead of Nelson Piquet (Brabham) and Alain Prost (Renault) completing the podium.

Only 1 (one) available.

Will be shipped rolled, in a sturdy tube.

We offer FREE shipping to ANY destination in the world on this item but, given its value, we advise you to take the optional insurance (available at check-out) on it.

Vintage Original poster for the Mexican Grand Prix held on October 19, 1969.

A VERY rare poster indeed!

It is in excellent condition for its age.

The artwork shows an artist's impression of what looks to be a McLaren ahead of a Lotus F1 car against a backdrop of the Mexican national colors, Green, white and red.

The bottom edges show a nice advertisement for Aeronaves de Mexico, Mexico's national airline, that encourages you to travel with them on their Super DC-8's and DC-9's.

The race was won by Denny Hulme on McLaren, ahead of Jackie Ickx on Brabham and Jack Brabham on... Brabham!

The poster measures some 23 x 17 inches or 59 x 44.5 cm.

Newly arrived Original 1974 Monaco Grand Prix Poster - Limited Edition

Original 1974 Monaco Grand Prix Race Poster which was held on May 26, 1974 in the streets of Monte-Carlo.

This is one of the original posters that was actually hanging in the Principality of Monaco to advertise the 1974 Monaco Grand Prix.

In the middle of the "white" bottom border, it is marked "TIRAGE HORS COMMERCE . EXEMPLAIRE No 01114" which translates into as much as "Non-Commercial Edition . Copy number 01114".

Naturally, these posters are much more rare than the "normal" event posters which could be bought by the public before and during the race.

This particular one is one of those rare limited edition posters and has seen some proper use, which is visible in the photo. It has scratches, folds and nicks to it.

So, it is most definitely NOT in mint condition!

The photos are of the actual poster that is up for sale here, so please be your own judge on its condition but note that there is a fair degree of "camera glare" in the pictures due to the glossy finish of the poster.

The poster, produced by Edition J. Ramel in Nice, France, shows a fantastic, and very artistic, photo-montage of Emerson Fittipaldi's Lotus 72E, on his way to winning the 1973 edition, against a backdrop of the principality and its Mediterranean harbor and coastline. The photos are by photographer Bob Martin.

The race was won by Ronnie Peterson (Lotus), ahead of Jody Scheckter (Tyrrell) with Jean-Pierre Jarrier on Shadow completing the podium.

The poster measures some 62 x 42 cm or 24.4 x 16.5 inches.

Only 1 (one) available.

We offer FREE shipping to ANY destination in the world on this item but, given its value, we advise you to take the optional insurance (available at check-out) on it.

Original 1981 Monaco Grand Prix Poster

Newly arrived Original 1981 Monaco GP Race Poster

Original 1981 Monaco Grand Prix Race Poster which was held from 28th - 31st of May 1981.

The poster shows an artist's impression of Alan Jones in the 1980 world championship winning Williams FW07C.

The race was won by Ferrari's Golden Boy Gilles Villeneuve, followed by reigning World Champion Alan Jones on Williams and Jacques Lafitte on Ligier.

The poster measures some 40 x 60 cm or 16 x 24 inches.

Although this poster is in generally decent condition, it does have a fair degree of discoloration and, oddly enough, 4 pin holes along the left hand side. There is a degree of wrinkling on the right hand side, mostly visible on the back.

The poster gives the impression of having been, poorly, framed for a prolonged period of time.
A good frame will work wonders for this poster.

The photographs are of the actual poster up for sale here so please judge for yourself.

We have adjusted the price accordingly.

Autographed 1973 Photo of a Victorious Jackie Stewart Grand Prix Belgium at Spa Francorchamps on Tyrrell

Newly arrived Autographed 1973 Photo of a Victorious Jackie Stewart Grand Prix Belgium at Spa Francorchamps on Tyrrell

This is a rather famous shot of (now Sir) Jackie Stewart, celebrating his win in the 1973 Belgian Grand Prix at Spa Francorchamps.

After an initial win at the South African Grand Prix, this was the second win for Jackie in teh then-new Tyrrell 006.

Further victories at Monaco, the Netherlands and Germany would follow and Sir Jackie would most famously call it quits at the season's finisher, the USA Grand Prix at Watkins Glen, where he did not race out of his respect for Francois Cevert, his team mate who met his untimely end there during qualifying.

However, Sir Jackie has amassed enough points to be crowned the 1973 Formula One World Champion, his third F1 World Title.

The photo up for sale here was autographed by Sir Jackie in 2003 and shows him celebrating his win (with aforementioned Francois Cevert actually finishing second).

It measures some 12.5 x 17.5 cm or some 5 x 7 inches and is full color.

Please note that there is some glare in our image (from the Goodyear patch on Jackie's overalls down to the trophy) but that was caused by our camera as it is a high-gloss photo and it is NOT in the actual item.

Franco Lini 1972 Monaco Grand Prix Armband

Franco Lini 1972 Monaco Grand Prix Armband

Newly arrived Franco Lini 1972 Monaco Grand Prix Armband

Franco Lini 1972 Monaco Grand Prix Armband.

This is the actual armband worn by Scuderia Ferrari's former race team director, Franco Lini.

Lini was engaged by Enzo Ferrari to replace Eugenio Dragoni who was fired by Enzo in 1966 due to continuous conflicts with the press.

Lini, a journalist for French newspaper L'Equipe and Italian car magazine AutoItaliana, was hired to restore press contacts and to run the racing team.

Although Lini was successful on restoring the press connections, the results in racing made him leave by the end of the 1967 season. The Formula One team failed to score a single victory in 1967, lost Lorenzo Bandini in a horrendous crash at Monaco but the Sportscar Team managed to secure the world title, beating archenemy Ford with a single point...

After having left the Scuderia, Lini returned to journalism. He died in 1997.

This armband was worn by Line during the 1972 Grand Prix of Monaco and gave him access to all areas which were reserved for the press.

The 1972 Monaco GP was won by Jean-Pierre Beltoise on BRM with Jacky Ickx taking second place for Ferrari while his team mate, Clay Regazzoni, crashed in lap 51.

In very good condition for its age and of course a unique item.

The original armband of Piers Courage Monaco Grand Prix 1968

Newly arrived The original armband of Piers Courage Monaco Grand Prix 1968

Here we have a truly unique item... this is the original armband, worn by Piers Courage during the 1968 Monaco Grand Prix!

These armbands (or "brassard" in French) could be regarded as the entry ticket to the pits, paddock etc. It was to be worn at all times (except when a driver was actually in the car on the track) and the different colors and text would indicate the "status" of the bearer.

At the 1968 Monaco grand Prix, Piers drove the Reg Parnell Racing entered BRM P126 with race number 16 which he qualified in 11th spot, a good 2.4 seconds behind pole sitter Graham Hill.

In the race he would retire in lap 12 with chassis problems.

Piers was killed on June 21, 1970 when he crashed his Frank Williams Racing Cars entered DeTomaso 505 at Zandvoort race track during the Dutch Grand Prix.

These original items that have been worn by Grand Prix drivers at such high profile events like the Monaco Grand Prix rarely come to market and we are very happy to be able to offer this brassard here.

Of course, we have only 1 available.

We offer FREE shipping to ANY destination in the world on this item but, given its value, we advise you to take the optional insurance (available at check-out) on it.

Newly arrived Vintage Original 1963 Monaco Grand Prix Poster Counter Top

Vintage Original 1963 Monaco Grand Prix Counter-Top Poster.

Here we have a VERY rare Monaco Grand Prix poster...

These posters could be seen hanging throughout the principality of Monaco prior to the race in 1963 but this one is a little more special...

This particular one is executed as a counter-top version and it is the very first one in this execution that we ever managed to lay our hands on.

The artwork is by French artist Michel Beligond and shows a number of F1 cars racing along the harbor of Monte-Carlo.

The race was won by Graham Hill on BRM, followed by his team mate Ritchie Ginther with Bruce McLaren on Cooper-Climax completing the podium.

As visible in the pictures, this unusual table top Monaco "poster" has been maltreated severely in its past so it is in far from mint condition but it simply oozes patina... For the exact condition, please check the photographs.

The dimensions are some 59 x 40 cm or 23.5 x 16 inches.

We have, of course, only 1 available.

Newly arrived Vintage Original 1963 24 Hours of Le Mans Poster

Vintage Original 1963 24 Hours of Le Mans Poster.

June 15 & 16, 1963

Measures approximately 40 x 57 cm
15.5 x 22.5 inches

Absolutely stunning, totally mint condition.

The 1963 Le Mans poster is part of the so-called "Major Illustrators" era in Le Mans posters which lasted from 1954 - 1963 and in which the cream of the crop of French motorsport illustrators such as Geo Ham, Jeudon and Michel Beligond were hired for the design of the race posters.

The poster shows a fantastic image, by G. Laygnac, of the winning make of the previous year, Ferrari.

Although the 1962 winner is depicted, the poster is of a much more symbolic nature than previous years.

The idea of time is overwhelmingly present, as is that of speed which is symbolized by the whirlpool.

This poster marked the end of an era after which illustrations would be replaced by photographs.

The race itself was won by Lorenzo Bandini and Ludovico Scarfiotti in their Nr 21 Ferrari 250 P (S/N 0814) with a total of 339 laps to their name.

Newly arrived 1924 Le Mans Poster Reproduction

Reproduction of the original Le Mans 24 Hours of Le Mans Race Poster.

This reproduction of the official 1924 poster is officially endorsed by the A.C.O.

23 x 35 inches
58 x 89 cm

This poster is after a color illustration by an unknown artist while the overall design was in the hands of the Ch. Hirvyl publishing house of Angers.

As the 1923 race did not attract a huge crowd, the 1924 poster stressed the party aspect and downplayed the race itself.

The night was again the main feature as it singled out the Le Mans event from the other French races.

There was some discreet advertising (Magondeaux eclairera le circuit) and the elitist choice was clearly stated with its lavish party and the mention "The elite of the car industry will take part in it.".

Vintage Original 1968 1000 KM di Monza Race Poster

Vintage Original 1968 1000 KM di Monza Race Poster

New arrival Vintage Original 1968 1000 KM di Monza Race Poster

1968 1000 KM di Monza Race Poster - Vintage Original.

April 25, 1968.

It measures approximately 34 x 47.5 cm or 13.4 x 18.7.

Great Ferrari 330 P4 motif with the winner of the 1967 event, the Ferrari 330 P4 (S/N 0856) of Chris Amon and Lorenzo Bandini in the background, another 330 in the foreground, an Alfa Romeo TZ and Porsches 906 and 910s.

The 1968 race was won by Paul Hawkins and David Hobbs in their Ford GT40 (S/N 1074).

Please note that this poster is as shown in the pictures and it has clearly lead a rough life... It has been taped to a wall (which has left tape residue), small parts are missing, text has been "repaired" with a marker etc. Just look at the pictures and you'll understand what we mean.

Nevertheless, or probably thanks to its rough appearance, it oozes patina, just like an old racing car, which gives it an unrepeatable charm.

We have adjusted the price to reflect its condition.
