TheF1Store.com, established 1999.

The earliest beginning of TheF1Store.com was ot different from how many of you started out collecting Racing Memorabilia.

Being a car nut from a very early age, my interest soon shifted towards racing as the faster it goes and the "better" the competition, the more fun it is, at least for me.

Over the years I built up an important collection of racing memorabilia, autographed items, automobilia and motorcycle related items and started swapping and buying over the internet.

As I got more time available, I decided to turn it into a business which resulted in the creation of TheF1Store.com in 1999.

All items on this website are for sale, there are no items "Just for display" to tease you.

I have much, much more available and will be adding items on a regular basis but adding them is quite time consuming so there won't be hundreds of new arrivals a week but you can join our mailing list to stay abreast with the new arrivals or, alternatively, you can check our website's "New Arrivals" section on a regular basis.

All original items are thoroughly researched and we guarantee the authenticity of them for an indefinite period of time. Images of all items sold are maintained in our digital archives for future reference.

The website also features current and obsolete racing merchandise as well as current reproduction items.

We ALWAYS indicate if an item is reproduction or original in the item description to avoid confusion.

If you have ANY questions regarding the items on this website, feel free to contact me at info@thef1store.com

60 x 40 cm.
23.5 x 15.5 inches.

Mint condition.

The 2014 Le Mans poster is part of the era in Le Mans posters which is generally described as "The Le Mans Poster in the era of computer graphics and sponsorship" and which lasts from 2001 until the current day.

The 82nd editition of the Le mans 24 Hours is placed under the banner of innovation and the poster defines an area of rich expression aimed at a wide-ranging public by projecting them into a powerful and attractive imaginary environment.

Pride of place goes to the new prototypes launched in 2014 which, propelled by luminous, electric colours, leap out of the poster.

A cleaner and less figurative universe than in the past, which fits perfectly with the new slogan: "Le future entre en piste" which loosely translates into "The future enters the ring".

For the fifth time it is the fruit of collaboration between the Automobile Club de l’Ouest and the LAFOURMI communications agency.

The event was won by Benoit Treluyer, Marcel Fassler and Andre Lotterer in their number 2 Audi R18 E-Tron Quattro.

For the full results of this race, please see 24 Heures du Mans results 2014.

Mounted set of valves from Niki Lauda's McLaren MP1/4B South Africa 1982

Newly arrived Mounted set of valves from Niki Lauda's McLaren MP1/4B South Africa 1982

Mounted set of valves from Niki Lauda's McLaren MP1/4B South Africa 1982.

Here we have a set of polished and chromed valves (inlet and outlet) from the Ford Cosworth DFV engine with which he came in 4th in the 1982 Grand Prix of South Africe.

After Ron Denns had lured Niki back out of "retirement", this Grand Prix was Niki's very first after his voluntary 2,5 year "sebatical".

It was to be a controversial Grand Prix as Niki headed the so-called "driver's strike" against the new superlicense conditions.

It was also Niki's first outing in the then still very radical McLaren MP4 which was the first carbonfibre F1 car and more than a handfull to drive (it earned Niki's predecessor Andrea de Cesaris his nickname "De Crasheris"...).

In the end, Niki drove his MP4 home in a leisurely fourth overall, just outside the podium.

These valvles come from his engine and were polished, chromed and mounted for the now defunct establishment called Grand Prix Sportique in Tetbury, UK.

The wholes stand some 13 cm or a good 5 inches tall while the pedestal mesures some 5 cm or 2 inches in diameter. It is quite a heavy and very decorative set.

Only 1 available.

lm1973scarf

Vintage 1973 24 Hours of Le Mans Silk Scarf

Newly arrived Vintage 1973 24 Hours of Le Mans Silk Scarf

Vintage 1973 24 Hours of Le Mans Silk Scarf.

Near mint condition for its age.

This is a very scarce 24 Heures du Mans scarf which looks to be made of silk (not 100% sure about the material though).

The design (signed J.F.) follows the design of the 1973 program booklet which is very different from that of the poster as there is no hint whatsoever towards the race track or national pride.

The global aspect is highlighted by the illusion of speed and the flags towering high over the cars speeding by.

The scarf was printed by Le Pilier Vert in 72320 Champrond, France, the same printshop that printed the poster in 1972, 1973 and 1974.

It measures some 65 x 67.5 cm and is in excellent condition considering it over 40 years old now.

A fantastic relic from an era gone-by and one of the few surviving examples (the first we have ever owned!).

Please note that the scarf is being held to a kind of back-board by paperclips for the photo, to keep it flat. It will be shipped folded along its original fold-lines.

The 1973 race was won by Henri Pescarolo and Gerard Larousse in their # 11 Matra Simca MS670B with a total of 356 laps to their name.

For the full results of this race, please see 24 Heures du Mans results 1973.

Vintage Original 1956 24 Hours of Le Mans Program Autographed by Peter Collins and Ken Wharton

Newly arrived Vintage Original 1956 24 Hours of Le Mans Program Autographed by Peter Collins and Ken Wharton

Vintage Original 1956 24 Hours of Le Mans Program Autographed by Peter Collins and Ken Wharton.

Here we have a VERY special 1956 Le Mans program...

Apart from being quite a rarity in its own right, this one was signed on the cover by racing greats Peter Collins and Ken Wharton!

Peter Collins (1931 - 1958) was teamed up with Sterling Moss and the duo drove their Ecurie Ecosse entered Aston-Martin DB3 S to a second place overall, a mere 1 lap behind the winning Jaguar D-Type of Ron Flockhart and Ninian Sanderson.
Peter signed the cover in pencil.

Ken Wharton (1916 - 1957) was teamed up with Jack Fairman in a works Jaguar D-Type but unfortunately, he never got to drive it in the race as Jack crashed the car already in lap 3...
Ken signed the cover in blue ballpoint.

Neither of these two men would survive this race for more than 2,5 years and both would get killed in a Ferrari...

The booklet measures some 13 x 23.5 cm and contains 188 pages filled to the brim with information of the cars, the drivers, previous editions of the race, the track and of course great contemporary advertising.

It does have a fair amount of wear and tear, as can be seen in the photos, and yes, it would have been a lot more expensive if it was in mint condition...

The race was won by Ron Flockhart and Ninian Sanderson in their Jaguar D-Type with a total of 300 laps to their name.

For the full results of this race, please see 24 Heures du Mans results 1956.

Gilles Villeneuve signed magazine clipping

Newly arrived Gilles Villeneuve signed magazine clipping

Gilles Villeneuve signed magazine clipping.

This is a mounted (NOT professionally done!) magazine clipping of the late Gilles Villeneuve (1950 - 1982) that was signed by Gilles.

Gilles Villeneuve signed items are very, VERY rare and we are happy to be able to offer this definitely out-of-the-ordinary piece.

The clipping itself is not dated but appears to be an advertisment for Autosport magazine and the silhouet of Gilles was cut out of a large color photo of Gilles sitting in his Ferrari at the 1978 Long Beach Grand Prix which was consequently mounted over the clipping.

As mentioned, this is NOT a professional mounting.

The total, including matting measures some 12 x 15 inches or 30 x 38 cm.

A truly great opportunity and we only have 1 available of course.

Vintage Original 1971 Le Mans Poster

New arrival Vintage Original 1971 Le Mans Poster

Vintage 1971 Le Mans 24 Hours Poster.

June 12 & 13, 1971.

60 x 40 cm
23.5 x 15.5 inches

This poster is part of the so-called "Modern Photographic Approach" era in Le Mans posters which lasted from 1964 - 1971.

The poster features a color photo by Andre Delourmel from the city of Le Mans while the overall design was entrusted to Imprimerie Draeger in Paris and dates from 1970.

The view of the poster sums up the conditions under which the 1970 edition took place. The section chosen is somewhat unusual as it is the section of the circuit between Arnage and Maison Blanche which was used for the last time in 1970.

The race was won by Dr. Helmut Marko and Gijs van Lennep in their Porsche 917 K with a total of 397 laps to their name or 5.335 KM, a distance record that stood until 2010!

For the full results of this race, please see 24 Heures du Mans results 1971.

It is in near mint condition for its age.

We only have 1 available.

This poster will be shipped, rolled, in a sturdy tube.
