Sammy Davis' 4.5 Litre Invicta at Brooklands
During the 1931 Easter Mountain Handicap the Invicta, which had been riding too high up the home banking to maintain it's momentum, slid down and overturned breaking Sammy Davis' leg in two place.
In the background can be seen a Rileyleading an Amilcar 6.

Ken Evans in his Monoposto Alfa Romeo P3 2.9 in 1937 at Brooklands
The Evans family Ken, Doreen and Denis were habitual Brooklands competitors being well known for their exploits in M.G.s prepared by their father's Belle Vue Garage at Clapham by tuning wizard Wilkie Wilkinson.
The Alfa was first seen at Brooklands in 1937 where Ken brought it home second in a 10 lap Mountain Championship Scratch race.
